FAQ’s

Question: Why is the housing 3D Printed?

Answer: We 3D print the housing of the camera system and associated internal mounting components to save on cost to you the end user of the product. This also allows us to adapt quickly to technological changes and be first to market with smaller devices/components. It does look a little rough, but in no way does it take away from the functionality or performances of our products.

Question: Why yearly software subscription?

Answer: It costs time, money and resources to continually develop and add features to software. Relying on hardware sales alone is an outdated model as it requires perpetual growth in hardware sales. We keep the cost of the hardware down to the bare minimum and the software subscription is reasonable priced at around $2.00AUD per month ($25 per year, annual subscription).

Question: Why is “Wireless Compliance” important?

Answer: The 2.4Ghz/5.8Ghz ISM Digital Wireless Spectrum is regulated in most countries (e.g. USA, UK, AUS, NZ). There are many devices that operate in these spectrums including medical implants for people with health issues.

Every country has it’s own regulations on this spectrum and not conforming to those regulations is a breach of the law and could potentially cause harm to others.

There are many other manufactures’ of wireless target camera systems that don’t even adhere to their own countries laws/power limits  on wireless spectrum and even worse, use wireless amplifiers/booster or analogue systems that totally exceed wireless power transmission limits by various orders of magnitude.

Question: Why don’t you use Lithium Ion (LiPO) Batteries?

Answer: Quite simply Lithium Ion (LiPO) batteries have a tendency to catch fire and explode if slightly damaged, shot or exposed to excessive sunlight/temperatures. Plenty of YouTube video’s on this matter. Other manufacturers of Wireless Target Camera Systems use LiPO batteries including cheaply made ones which could potentially put you and others at risk. A damaged Lithium Ion battery and ammunition in the car/truck/vehicle/cabin is a significant risk. NiMH AA batteries are much more stable and less resistant to catching fire or exploding if damaged.

Question: What is the range of the AUS Precision Wireless Target Camera System?

Answer: It depends on which model you go with and environmental conditions (e.g. wireless noise, interference, etc.). The basic version will punch out to around 200m, the standard around 500m, and the professional system around 1000m (1km). We say effective range which has been archived via extensive field testing of all our components (antennas, USB wireless modules, etc.) in various weather and RF environmental conditions.
